Chapter 40: Family Tree

More Books!

Bringing the Ancestors to Life

In a recollection of “Our Lives” it is only proper to make reference to all those ancestors without whom we would not be here.

I have written three books, involving probably a thousand hours research, that outline our heritage, so far as I can discover.

Marjorie's Ancestry is contained in a book entitled “The Milton Story”.

Family occupations have included:-

Shoemakers, Copper Miners, Primitive Methodist Minister, Coachmen, Ladies Maid, a 1746 Schoolmaster, Musicians etc.

Despite having several Musical “Greaves” relatives I have been almost non-musical. Favourites include “Come by the Hills”, “Mull of Kintyre” and “The Floral Dance”.

Copies of the Family Tree Books have been given to our children and we hope that new generations will occasionally turn the pages and read some of the stories.

I am hoping to provide copies of those stories here but in the meantime I've included some more recent family history photographs here...

By 1899 her ancestors included Milton, Morrison, Stamper, Stephens, Coneybear, Dawson, Booth, Winder, Beswick and Braithwaite.

Family occupations have included:-

Shoemakers, Tin Miners, Farmers and Labourers, Publicans, Grocers and Bakers, Bicycle Repair etc.

Neville's Ancestry is split between two books, entitled “Dorothy Wiseman nee Vinson” and “Family Tree of Noel Wiseman”.
