The Oldest Munro Blogger? Podcast now live...

From Munro Bagger to Munro Blogger! Until recently, the only climbing related "Pod" that I knew of, was my one-man 'PeaPod' tent... which we occasionally squeezed three people into! But now, in addition to blogging regularly, I appear to have made a Podcast! Whatever that is...

Admittedly I turned up to a studio, put some headphones on and spoke into a microphone while being interviewed by my son, David, about some of my experiences over the eight years of compleating the Munros... and more broadly about mountaineering in Scotland.

On the podcast I reminisce about all sorts of things, from a serious incident on the Skye Ridge to sleeping in a chicken coup! From memories of 'Gerry's Hostel' and various pubs and characters along the way, to reflections on walking kit and camp cooking.

How that chat turned into a YouTube channel and a published Podcast I'm not completely sure (I blame the kids!)... but please do take a look and click 'Like' and 'Subscribe'. These buttons don't do anything other than let me know that some people support my enjoyment of sharing stories from over 70 years of mountaineering in Scotland.

You can find my first ever podcast by clicking on the 'Munro Mumble' picture below or searching for 'Normal Neville' on YouTube. If you want, you can skip through things you know like 'What is a Munro' on to some of the stories. And dip in and out of it. Anyway, thank-you for listening to it!! NN

Hi, I've got lots of stories about Munros and I'm in the definitive Munro's Tables book as Munroist 604!

I'm Neville Wiseman and I completed the Munros in 1988. That wasn't enough, so I completed the Corbett's in 2000.

I'm aged 86 years old and one of the Oldest Munroists in the country to still be re-bagging Munros and Grahams. I'm probably the Oldest Munro Blogger too!! I'm continually adding to my two websites, www.scottishmunros.com and www.normalneville.com, with stories, maps, routes and tips for Munro Baggers... and aspiring Munro Baggers!

I've written a book called 'Diary of a Munroist- Come By the Hills' which you can access free of charge.

I also continue to publish various Blogs, Podcasts and ruminations around the topic, including things I keep finding on my computer but had forgotten that I'd written!

If you enjoy this site please give my articles a 'like' and a comment... and I will keep posting!
